August 19 & 20, 2000

The Head Instructor of the Warrior's Cove, David W. Arnebeck, took 1st Place in his division at the Rickson Gracie International Tournament! His final match referee was Royler Gracie. The tournament was supervised by Rickson Gracie and his father, Helio Gracie. There were approximately 300 competitors at this tournament, with representatives from Europe, Japan, Brazil, Canada and Australia. Rodrigo Vaghi's students swept through their divisions as usual! Mike Rogers won both his weight and open class.  Todd Fox won the gold in his class.  Steve Gant took it to them and walked off the mat with gold also. Steve Menke walked out with the silver. Ed and Dana took first and second respectively after meeting in the finals. Rodrigo promoted Todd and Mike to Purple belt following their tournament wins at Rickson's tournament.

If you are interested in taking one or more classes at the Warrior's Cove, we suggest you visit during the class you are interested in. We have a seating area for visitors. You may stop by as many times as you like to watch classes. You may also participate in one free class in each program that we offer.  You will find both our instructors and the other members to be friendly, informative, and supportive.
